Utility lessons.

So while we've been trying in vain to clean the house and unpack at the same time, it's proven to be a bit...difficult. Especially when you have to learn how to properly clean the inside of cabinets that may have not been cleaned for months. We'll spare you the details of the bathrooms aside from this picture and the gracious gift of bleach products from Krista's mother.
It's okay, bathtub, you're gonna make it. We promise
Ugh.

However, we have recently come into a, well, drought.
The county shut off our water.
I had called them two hours before, setting up our account and all. And when the woman asked when I would like to have the water transferred into my name, I said Friday, because I thought we had time until the previous owners would shut it off.

This woman failed to mention that the previous owners planned for it to be shut off today.

FAILED!

So after calling back right before they closed yesterday, we have been crossing our fingers that it will be back on tonight. You know, so we can shower and brush our teeth with indoor plumbing.

In other news, we have also learned we do not have a homeowner's association, which we consider a plus.

However, this means we have no idea where our trash goes.

But we're assuming it is not the deck.

Thanks to the internet being set up yesterday, and through thorough googling, we found out that we are free. Free to choose whatever trash company we choose.

So we had to choose a company today, because our deck is not happy with our current POA.
